On July 30, 2025, representatives from ten Local Government Units (LGUs) gathered for a strategic workshop aimed at revisiting the commitments made during the 2023 Cebu Water Summit. Planning Officers and Engineers from Cebu Province, Cebu City, Mandaue City, Lapulapu City, Danao City, Talisay City, and the municipalities of Compostela, Consolacion, Cordova, and Lilo-an participated in the session
The workshop provided a platform for participants to share progress updates, discuss key challenges, and outline priority projects over the next three years. The insights and outputs generated during the workshop will inform and shape the agenda for the upcoming Cebu Water Summit scheduled for October 9, 2025.
This workshop marks the second in a series of stakeholder engagements co-organized with the Philippine Institute of Chemical Engineers (PIChE) Cebu Chapter and endorsed by the Department of Environment and Planning for Development (DEPDev) Central Visayas Region (formerly NEDA).
